Staff Reporter: Arms shooters shot dead a large size wild elephant at gorjontali, a deep forest of Alikong mouza under nikkongchari upazila of Bandar ban hill district on November 8 last.

Staff Reporter: The Cox's Bazar district administration has already been taken up a project to develop a plantation of coconut, date and fruit bearing trees along the sea beach to check land subsidence and promote an environment-friendly tourism industry.
The plantation would be grown in five rows along a stretch of 110-kilometre-long sea beach running from Nazirartek to Teknaf, officials said. The plantation would be grown in west side of existing Cox’s Bazar-Teknaf marine drive road, official further said.

Poet Huda's 60th birth anniversary was began from capital Dhaka on September 30 last. It was observed by Writers Club in Dhaka with presents of poets, writers, cultural activists and crowd's fans of poet.
