TCN Desk: The foundation stone of Sonadia Deep Sea Port under Moheshkahli Upazila in Cox's Bazar will be laid by December next year.
This was informed at a meeting on preparing a detailed design as well as Primary Development Project Proposal (PDPP) to build the port.
Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan presided over the meeting held in the conference room of the ministry Monday.

Staff reporter: One killed and 25 were injured in a road accident at Nillha Jadimora station on Cox's Bazar-Teknaf highway this morning at 9 am. Died person is identified as Md. Ali Johar (45) son of Habibuzaman, a Myanmar citizen who is living at Ledha unregistered refugee camp under Teknaf.

Staff Reporter: Staff Reporter: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Cox's Bazar district unit conference postponed by clashes, damaged meeting venue, damaged four vehicles. At least one hundred persons including Salima Rahman, Joint Secretary General of BNP central committee, Salauddin Ahmed, Ex-MP and ex-state minister of Communication were injured in this clashes.

Sohel Parvez and Sayeda Akhter: The government has moved to expand the runway of Cox's Bazar airport, aiming to upgrade it to international standards and offer foreign holidaymakers a hassle-free trip to the world's longest unbroken sea beach.
“We have taken steps to expand the runway at Cox's Bazar airport and develop other facilities,” GM Quader, the civil aviation and tourism minister, told recently.
