68 Myanmar citizens handed over to Nasaka Staff Reporter 68 Myanmar citizens including three Nasaka persons handed over to Nasaka, border security forces of Myanmar today afternoon in flag meeting. A bilateral battalion level flag meeting between Bangladesh-Myanmar border security forces BDR and Nasaka was held at roads and highways rest house at bordering town teknaf of the Cox’s Bazar district at about 2 pm. In the meeting Lieutenant Colonel Abdul Kheleque, commanding officer, 42 rifles battalion, teknaf was led five-member Bangladesh side while U Mong Khyee, deputy director, Mongdow border immigration headquarter, moungdow led the six members Myanmar team. Later, Bangladesh Border security forces BDR has been handed over 68 Myanmar citizens to Nasaka after meeting. Meanwhile, 68 Myanmar citizen were caught by BDR persons and police from the teknaf, ukhiya of the Cox’s Bazar district and Nikkongchari of BanderBan hill district due to illegally enter in to Bangladesh before two or three year ago. Three Nasaka forces were caught by BDR from with their fire arms when they were trying to abducting four Bangladeshi from gungdoum of nikkongchari. Others Myanmar citizens were also enter in to Bangladesh earlier. |

8th birth anniversary of Cox’s Bazar Sahittay Academy observed M. Badarul Alam The 8th birth anniversary of Cox’s Bazar Sahittay Academy was observed at Cox’s Bazar on April 27th last. The birth anniversary programme includes discussion meeting and recitation of poetry. Discussion meeting was held at Annanda Multimedia School near Academy office at 4 pm. Its president Mohammad Nurul Islam was presided over the function while Professor Mostaque Ahmed, ex-principal, Ramu College was present in the function as chief guest. Professor-advocate Abul Kalam Azad, Cox’s Bazar Law Collage, Professor Mofidul Alam, president, Shangittyan, Cox’s Bazar, Write-advocate Mohammad Jahangir, Shrmina Afroze Rasmin, principal, Ramu Collage were present in the function as special guest. |
